COUNCIL TO CONVENE VIRTUALLY SEPTEMBER 22ND FOR SCHEDULED SESSION; GENERAL ELECTION BRIEFING; AND STATUS UPDATES ON PURPLE LINE AND I-495 & I-270 MANAGED LANES P3 PROJECTS

The Prince George’s County Council will convene a virtual Council session on Tuesday, September 22nd at 10:00 a.m.

The County Council agenda for September 22nd  includes a Board of Elections Update from Prince George’s County Elections Administrator, Alisha Alexander. At 11:30 a.m., the Council will receive a status update on the MDOT Purple Line P3 Project from Maryland Department of Transportation Marland Transit Administration (MDOT MTA) Administrator, Kevin Quinn; MDOT MTA Purple Line Project Director, Matt Pollack; Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation Major Projects Manager, Victor Weissberg; and Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation Policy and Legislation Program Manager, Courtney Glass.

The Council will reconvene at 1:30 p.m. for a status briefing on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) from the Maryland Department of Transportation on the I-495 & I-270 Managed Toll Lanes Projects from MDOT SHA I-496 & I-270 P3 Office Director Lisa B. Choplin; Deputy Director, Jeff Folden; Environmental Manager, Caryn Brookman; and Strategic Communications and Intergovernmental Affairs Manager, Shawn Eum. County Officials from the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission and DPWT will also participate in the status update.

Council session will also include the presentation and introduction of several measures and proposed correspondence.
