The mission of the Office of Communications is to tell the story of the Prince George’s County Council and Legislative Branch of County Government. A division of Council Administration, we work to promote a better understanding of the County Council, and its processes and decisions.  Through the effective use of communications tools and strategies, we keep constituencies informed, connected and engaged by providing timely, accurate, and relevant information.

The Council Office of Communications is the primary point of contact for media covering Prince George’s County and the Legislative Branch. Media can contact the office or visit the Online Newsroom for news updates and assistance. 

Public information and media relations; digital and online communications; branding; creative design services; public engagement; and stakeholder relations are among the integrated services we provide as part of our responsibility to the County Council, Council Administration and the public.
