County Executive Aisha Braveboy, Park & Planning, Developers, and Arts Council to Present Key Updates
On Wednesday, July 16 at 6:00 PM, Council Member Wala Blegay (District 6) will host a Downtown Largo Development Meeting at the M-NCPPC Headquarters, 1616 McCormick Drive, Largo, MD. The meeting will provide residents, stakeholders, and community leaders with vital updates on ongoing and proposed development projects that are transforming the Downtown Largo area.
County Executive Aisha Braveboy will speak about the county’s vision for Largo’s future, including updates on three signature projects from the previous administration: the Civic Plaza, Cultural Center, and Central Library. While the Civic Plaza is moving forward, she will share updates on the status of the amphitheater and fieldhouse projects.
Representatives from the Prince George’s County Arts and Humanities Council will present on the Cultural Center initiative, and Park and Planning will provide an overview of the Blue Line Corridor revitalization effort that includes areas surrounding Largo.
“This meeting is an important step in ensuring transparency, community engagement, and accountability as we shape the future of Downtown Largo,” said Council Member Blegay. “We want our residents to have a voice in what is being built in their community.”
Developers currently working on projects in Downtown Largo will also be present to share progress, plans, and community benefits associated with their proposals.
All residents, business owners, and stakeholders are encouraged to attend.
