Grant Program Seeks Community Solutions for Ending Domestic Violence in the County
The Prince George’s County Council will announce recipients of the Council’s FY 2019 Domestic Violence Grant Program funding during Council session on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, 10:00 a.m., 14741 Governor Oden Bowie Drive, in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
The Prince George’s County Council Domestic Violence Grant Program provides funding support to programs that provide housing, counseling or advocacy assistance to victims of domestic violence. This includes organizations whose programs and activities support prevention through a coordinated and collaborative community response to domestic violence in the County. To date, the Council has invested an additional $1.5 million County dollars in grant funding to fight domestic violence, including $500,000 in FY 2017 and $500,000 in FY 2018 to a total of 19 nonprofits.
