Council Proclamation Presentation and Live Radio Broadcast Planned for Tuesday, March 15

Prince George’s County Council Member Todd M. Turner (D) - District 4, joined by Council Chair Derrick L. Davis (D) – District 6, will present a proclamation to 106.7 The Fan’s John (Cakes) Auville, Eric (E.B.) Bickel, John-Paul (J.P.) Flaim, and Jason (Lurch) Bishop, all native Prince Georgians better known collectively as “The Sports Junkies,” on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 10 a.m. The proclamation presentation will take place in the Council Hearing Room, on the first floor of the County Administration Building, 14741 Governor Oden Bowie Drive, in Upper Marlboro, MD.

“The Sports Junkies,” celebrating their 20th anniversary on the airwaves, host the popular radio program by the same name on WJFK 106.7 The Fan. For six of those 20 years, the show was produced from studios in Prince George’s County.

“The Sports Junkies” air weekdays from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m., and on Tuesday, March 15, prior to the proclamation presentation, the show will broadcast live (6 a.m. – 10 a.m.) from the first floor lobby of the County Administration Building in Upper Marlboro in celebration of its 20th anniversary, featuring guest interviews and station giveaways.

This is a public event.
