[ARCHIVED] COUNTY COUNCIL HOLDS FY 2017 BUDGET TOWN HALL MEETING - MARCH 8

The Prince George’s County Council will hold the FY 2017 Budget Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., at the Prince George’s Community College, Rennie Forum, 301 Largo Road, in Largo, Maryland.

Council Chair Derrick L. Davis (D) – District 6, encourages residents to participate in the FY 2017 Budget Town Hall Meeting.

“As Council Members, we represent the interests of our constituents and it is important to hear from them concerning the FY 17 proposed budget. This town hall is designed to enhance public understanding of the budget process and provide a forum for civic participation in that process. We look forward to providing residents with the information they need, and hearing their budget priorities and concerns.”

The County Council FY 2017 Budget Town Hall Meeting offers an important opportunity for Council Members to hear ideas and concerns from residents about spending in FY 2017, and will feature presentations on the County’s fiscal outlook, as well as an overview of the Council’s budget review process. A summary of the interim report of the Blue Ribbon Commission on Addressing Prince George’s County’s Structural Deficit will also be provided. This event is free and open to the public.
