Prince George’s County Council Member Andrea Harrison (D) – District 5, will host the “District 5 Family Health and Wellness Fair” on Saturday, October 8, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Wayne K. Curry Sports and Learning Complex, 8001 Sheriff Road in Landover, Maryland.
The day’s events will feature free health screenings and wellness sessions. Health care representatives, including physicians and health education vendors will also be on hand to answer questions and provide information.
Council Member Harrison says health and wellness are essential components of thriving families and communities.
“When residents are healthy and strong, communities are healthy and strong. The District 5 Health and Wellness Fair is a great opportunity for residents to access important information and free health screenings in one convenient location. There will be services for all ages at the Family Health and Wellness Fair and I encourage residents to join us for what promises to be an informative day.”
The District 5 Family Health and Wellness Fair, held in partnership with Dimensions Health Care System, Kaiser Permanente, Aetna and Productive Living Institute, is free and open to all Prince George’s County residents.
