[ARCHIVED] PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY COUNCIL TO CONVENE TUESDAY, JULY 11th

The County Council will convene at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11th for a scheduled session at the Wayne K. Curry Administration Building, Council Hearing Room, 1301 McCormick Drive in Largo.

 

Tuesday’s agenda includes public hearings to consider Executive Appointments to the Solid Waste Advisory Commission, Personnel Board, Fair Election Fund Commission, and the Fire Commission.  Among the legislative measures scheduled for public hearing on Tuesday and/or final Council action:

 

CB-031-2023 – legislation modifying the definitions of Convenience Store, Gas Station, and Tobacco Shop uses in the Zoning Ordinance to clarify the percentage of certain uses that may be dedicated to the display and sales of tobacco and cannabis-related products; and a transition period to ensure compliance.

 

CB-045-2023 – proposed legislation providing authorization in the Zoning Ordinance for alternate development regulations for development of land owned by the Redevelopment Authority.

 

CR-031-2023 – proposed legislation approving a multi-year contract to procure consultant to assist with developing a Climate Action Implementation Strategy Plan

 

CR-038-2023 and CR-051-2023 – Resolutions concerning Contract Approvals

 

 

Council committee meetings scheduled for the week of July 10th include:

 

Tuesday, July 11th 

 

11:30 a.m. Committee of the Whole (COW)

 

Thursday, July 13h   

 

10:00 a.m. Transportation, Infrastructure, Energy and Environment Committee (TIEE)
