Prince George’s County Council Member Krystal Oriadha (D) – District 7, whose district includes Suitland, issued the following statement:
“My heart aches learning of yet another shooting involving our youth. Earlier today a 14-year-old student was shot outside of Suitland High School. My prayers are with the victim, their family, and the entire Suitland community. Our community has become too accustomed to violent crime being the solution to resolve conflicts. We need a change in the culture, and in how we see each other. It will take all of us to move our community forward.”
