JUNE 6th COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE TO ADDRESS POLICE ACCOUNTABILITY MEASURES AND RELATED AMENDMENTS; EDUCATION AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE CONVENES 

Review of Police Accountability Measures Continues - Residents Encouraged to Provide Comment 

The Prince George’s County Council’s Committee of the Whole (COW) will convene a hybrid session – both virtual and in person - on Monday, June 6th at 2:30 p.m. to continue the review of proposed legislation and related amendments addressing Police Accountability. The reform measures below were proposed and submitted by the County Executive to the County Council as required by state laws passed in 2021.

 

 

 

Last week, on Tuesday, May 31st during the Council’s COW, members received public comment related to the reform measures.  Following the public testimony, and in response to the receipt of proposed amendments to the legislation, COW held the reform measures to be further considered during COW on Monday, June 6th

Please use the Council’s eComment Portal at https://pgccouncil.us/Speak to Register to Speak, and/or to Submit a Comment or Written Testimony. For those unable to use the portal, comments/written correspondence may be emailed to: clerkofthecouncil@co.pg.md.us or faxed to (301) 952-5178.  Registration should be completed by 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 5th, the day BEFORE the meeting.

  • Executive Appointments to the Board of Libraries Trustees
