With a focus on the future, the County Council, in partnership with the Prince George’s County Planning Department, is conducting a comprehensive update of the County’s 50-year-old Zoning Ordinance.
The Prince George’s County Council encourages County residents to attend a Zoning Rewrite Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., in the auditorium of Eleanor Roosevelt High School, 7601 Hanover Parkway, in Greenbelt, Maryland.
Council Chair Derrick L. Davis (D) – District 6 says this critical process can only be successful with citizen input.
“Updating the County’s zoning policies is among the most important undertakings of the Council in its role as the County’s land use authority, and will enhance the ability of this important economic development tool to stimulate growth in our County. Our residents deserve a streamlined, user-friendly zoning code as we work together to bring world-class development home to Prince George’s County and this town hall meeting will help prepare residents to play a significant role in shaping the future of our County.”
Presenters for the Council’s Zoning Rewrite Town Hall Meeting are M-NCPPC Chief, Countywide Planning Division, Derick Berlage, and M-NCPPC Administrative Specialist, Countywide Planning Division, Brittney Drakeford.
This event is free and open to the public.
