Council to Address Proposed Legislation and Correspondence Opposing Baltimore-Washington Superconductive Maglev Project During Scheduled Virtual Session - May 18th

The Prince George’s County Council, convening virtually on Tuesday, May 18th, at 10:00 a.m., will address a Proposed Joint Letter to Secretary Gregory Slater, Maryland Department of Transportation, and Amit Bose, Federal Railroad Administration, U.S. Department of Transportation, regarding the recommendation for the NO BUILD Option for the Baltimore-Washington Superconductive Maglev Project. In addition to Proposed Correspondence, Council session will include the Presentation of Council Bills and eight (8) Public Hearings.

The Council will also review Resolutions eligible for adoption, including CR-026-2021, legislation opposing the Baltimore-Washington Superconductive Maglev Project, given the significant negative impact that it would have on the health, safety and welfare of County residents and on persons that operate businesses in Prince George’s County.
