[ARCHIVED] COUNCIL CHAIR TODD M. TURNER HOSTS COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP ON GOVERNOR BRIDGE ROAD

Adopt-A-Road Program to Participate with County’s “Growing Green with Pride” Event 

Prince George’s County Council Chair Todd M. Turner (D) – District 4, joins with Toyota of Bowie, and the Longleaf Homeowners Association to co-host the District 4 Annual Road Clean-Up on Saturday, May 4, 2019, 10:00 a.m. – 12 Noon beginning at Toyota of Bowie, 16700 Gov. Bridge Road in Bowie.

The Annual Road Clean-Up event, held in conjunction with Prince George’s Growing Green with Pride program, will bring together students and members of the community to remove debris along Governor Bridge Road, a two-mile County-maintained road connecting Prince George’s and Anne Arundel counties.

The Adopt-A-Road Program, established by the Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T), was established to create community partnerships to maintain the cleanliness and quality of life of County-maintained roads.

Following the day’s events, County Executive Angela D. Alsobrooks will host a picnic at Watkins Regional Park, 301 Watkins Park Drive, in Upper Marlboro from 12:00 Noon to 3:00 p.m.
