[ARCHIVED] COUNCIL MEMBER ANDREA C. HARRISON WELCOMES NOBCO TO PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY

NOBCO’s 34th Annual Economic Development Conference “Counties Connected Beyond Boundaries: How Regionalism Is Rewarding” May 2-6, Greenbelt Marriott

Prince George’s County Council Member Andrea C. Harrison (D) – District 5, Board Member, and past president of the National Organization of Black County Officials (NOBCO), welcomes the coalition of black elected and appointed officials within county government throughout the United States, to Prince George’s County for its 34th Annual Economic Development Conference “Counties Connected Beyond Boundaries: How Regionalism Is Rewarding.”

The 2018 conference takes place from Wednesday, May 2nd through Sunday, May 6th at the Greenbelt Marriott in Greenbelt, Maryland.

Council Member Harrison says Prince George’s County, the nation’s most affluent African-American County, is the perfect place for the 2018 NOBCO Annual Conference.

“Prince George’s County has achieved great economic development success, growing our communities and expanding opportunities for our residents, through regional dialogue and collaboration. This event will offer an important opportunity to examine the impact of regionalism and removing the barriers. I can think of no better place than Prince George’s County to share ideas, learn and explore ways regionalism is helping member counties thrive from partnerships.”

NOBCO is a 501 (c) 3 corporation, established in 1982, representing a coalition of black elected and appointed officials within county government throughout the United States. NOBCO concentrates on issues of NOBCO members and solutions by providing a host of resources ranging from the annual conference to position papers, technical assistance, and an information clearing house.
