The Council’s Committee of the Whole (COW), and the Prince George’s County Council will convene virtually on Tuesday, February 1st.
The COW is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. for a Fiscal Year 2023 State Budget Overview, followed by Maryland General Assembly status updates, including statewide and local bills and Maryland Association of Counties (MACo). The COW will also review CR-004-2022, legislation concerning Supplemental Appropriations.
Council session, scheduled to convene at noon, will include the Presentation and Introduction of proposed legislation. The Council will also address a Proposed Joint Letter to United States Office of Management & Budget Acting Director, Shalanda Young, regarding Public Building Reform Board “First Round Recommendations” USDA ARS Glenn Dale & Goddard Space Flight Center/NASA Area 400. Proposed Correspondence to Prince George’s County Senate Delegation Chair, Senator Joanne C. Benson, and Prince George’s County House Delegation Chair, Delegate Nick Charles, transmitting the position of the Prince George's County Council on proposed State legislation will also be addressed. Prior to adjournment, the Council will review CR-008-2022, legislation concerning Transit Equity Day, which is eligible for adoption.
The 2022 Council Retreat, scheduled for February 2 - 3, has been postponed.
