Plan Prince George's 2035 Implementation and Infrastructure Task Force
Mission Statement
The mission of the Plan 2035 Implementation and Infrastructure Task Force is to review the Implementation Strategies within Plan Prince George’s 2035 and make recommendations to the County Council concerning how best to reconcile current development policies and regulations with the long-range vision of Plan Prince George’s 2035.
Matters of particular focus include strategies and mechanisms:
- for limiting sprawl development;
- for limiting or controlling haphazard development outside of Transit-Oriented Development and Local Activity Centers; and
- for creating systems that address climate goals and infrastructure concerns.
As part of the assessment of implementation of Plan Prince George’s 2035 strategies, the Task Force will review the adequacy of public facilities (including staffing) and make recommendations for prioritizing resource expenditures and public investments consistent with the Plan and the draft Climate Action Plan.
