Vice Chair Oriadha Resumes District 7 Community Walks to Address Urgent Neighborhood Issues

Council News Posted on May 23, 2025

Prince George’s County Council Vice Chair Krystal Oriadha is set to resume her District 7 Community Walks series where she will engage directly with residents and address ongoing issues affecting neighborhoods across the district. The first one is TONIGHT, May 23 at 5:30 p.m.

The initiative aims to promote transparency, responsiveness, and collaborative problem solving between county agencies and the communities they serve. Residents, local organizations, and public safety representatives will join Vice Chair Oriadha to walk and talk, assessing critical concerns firsthand, including enhanced traffic safety measures, illegal dumping, abandoned vehicles, overgrown landscaping, and more.

“We can’t solve what we don’t see,” said Vice Chair Oriadha. “These walks are about more than just conversation – they’re about action. Our communities deserve clean streets, safe spaces, and a government that doesn’t mind accountability.”

Each Community Walk will conclude with a listening session, where residents can speak directly with Vice Chair Oriadha and staff members. This will be followed by a public report summarizing findings and actions taken or planned.
