[ARCHIVED] STATEMENT FROM COUNCIL CHAIR DAVIS ON VETERANS DAY 2017

The Prince George’s County Council honors every American who has served in our nation's military, including those from Prince George's County.  Throughout our country’s history, members of the United States Armed Forces have dedicated their lives to defending our liberties and preserving the freedoms we enjoy.  Their selfless bravery is the epitome of courage and commitment to our County, our country and fellow Americans.

At this moment in history, it is more important than ever that we pause to recognize the significance of Veteran’s Day.  We owe a debt of gratitude to our nation’s veterans and those who continue to serve at home and abroad.

With the utmost gratitude and appreciation, this Council and the residents we are privileged to represent thank you for a job very well done.
