Here in Prince George's County, we lost some of our own. Residents of our community perished in the attacks, leaving wounds that even time cannot heal. Our community was also on the front lines that tragic day, with residents responding bravely to the call for help.

Their bravery saved countless lives and inspired our entire nation. We recognize and thank our local heroes—those who serve as police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and others who continue to put their lives on the line to protect us every day.
