The Prince George’s County Council proudly continues its celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month with the second installment of a dynamic and inspiring series, honoring the vibrant cultures, rich histories, and invaluable contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities across the County and the nation.

As we embark on Part 2 of the County Council's 2025 Hispanic Heritage experience, we must also recognize the need for inclusivity as we celebrate the diverse histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors hail from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America or are of Latin American Descent will acknowledge Latinx Heritage Month (the term Latinx is gender-neutral). Omar Eaton-Martinez, Senior Vice President for Historic Sites, National Trust for Historic Preservation, will bring remarks and reflections on the importance of preserving Latinx heritage, the power of community-driven narratives, and the role of historic sites in advancing social justice.

This event is free and open to the public. Join us as we come together to uplift voices, share stories, and celebrate the diverse heritage that strengthens and enriches Prince George’s County.
