[ARCHIVED] Black Arts Excellence: Prince George's County Council Black History Month Celebration

The Prince George’s County Council invites the community to attend its 2024 Black History Month 2024 celebration on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 2:00 PM.

This year's Black History Month theme is "African Americans and the Arts", celebrating the influence and contributions African Americans have made in visual and performing arts, literature, fashion, folklore, language, film, music, architecture, culinary and other forms of cultural expression. This year's celebration will feature Grammy nominated troupe, "Sweet Honey In The Rock", an all-female, African American ensemble that has continuously evolved into international ambassadors of a cappella, vocal, and lyrical excellence and musical missionaries of equality, empowerment, and education.
