Following the resignation of District 4 Council Member Ingrid S. Watson, the Council is set to hold a virtual special meeting at 4:00 PM on Friday, January 23, to appoint her replacement.
Pursuant to the County Code, when there is a vacancy in the Office of a Council Member that occurs during the last year of a term, a majority of the remaining Council Members will appoint a qualified person to fill the vacancy. The term is scheduled to end December 5, 2026.
To be considered, qualified District 4 residents are required to submit a letter of interest and resume prior to tonight’s 5:00 PM deadline.
