Prince Georges County Council Vice Chair Sydney J. Harrison, in partnership with Hospice of the Chesapeake, will host a community roundtable discussion on hospice and palliative care in Prince George's County on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, 6:00 PM.

Led by Dr. Rachel Jordan, DNP, FNP-BC, Director of Advocacy and Legislative Affairs for Hospice of the Chesapeake, this important discussion is curated for families and caretakers to discuss the differences between hospice and palliative care, the roles and responsibilities of caretakers of both hospice and palliative care patients, pain management plans, and coping mechanisms for loved ones patients.

The discussion panel will include individuals from both the medical field and faith-based community including:

  • Dr. Tom-meka Archinard, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, Hospice of the Chesapeake
  • Dr. Sonja Richmond, Vice President of Medical Affairs and Hospice Medical Director, Hospice of the Chesapeake
