Following the resignation of At-Large Council Member Mel Franklin on June 14, 2024, Council has set dates for a special primary and special general election to fill the vacancy.
At a meeting tonight, June 25, Council unanimously adopted a resolution that set the date of the special primary election for Tuesday, August 6, 2024, and the date of the special general election for Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
The date by which a certificate of candidacy must be filed with the Board of Elections is Friday, July 5, 2024.
