PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY COUNCIL TO CONVENE TUESDAY, MARCH 28th


Meet and Greet with U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen – Monday, March 27th 

Juvenile Crime Update with State’s Attorney Braveboy, Police Chief Aziz, and Sherriff Carr – Tuesday, March 28th 

 

The Prince George’s County Council, sitting as the District Council on land use matters, will convene on Monday, March 27, 2023, at 11:30 a.m.  Prior to the District Council session, Council Members will meet in Committee Room 2027 for an informal “Meet and Greet” with U.S. Senator from Maryland, Chris Van Hollen.   

 

The Prince George’s County Council will convene to consider its legislative agenda, on Tuesday, March 28 at 10:00 a.m.  Council session will include the presentation and introduction of measures, and the review of Proposed Correspondence.  Among proposed legislation scheduled for public hearing on Tuesday and/or eligible for final vote: 

 

CB-011-2023 an Ordinance concerning Consolidated Storage

 

CR-020-2023 A Resolution concerning the Minor Master Plan Amendment and SMA – Initiation-2006 Approved Master Plan and SMA for the Henson Creek-South Potomac Planning Area

 

Council Members will also receive a Juvenile Crime Update from State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy, Police Chief Malik Aziz, and Sherriff John D.B. Carr.   A panel of students will ask questions of County law enforcement following the presentation to the Council, as part of the District 8 “Youth Takeover Day”, on Tuesday, March 28th.

1:30 p.m. Education and Workforce Development Committee (EWD) 

  • Briefing - Prince George's County Educators' Association (PGCEA) 

 

Tuesday, March 28th 

 

9:00 a.m. General Assembly Committee 

 

10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Council Member Edward Burroughs, III, District 8 “Youth Takeover”
