Grants

Each year the Prince George's County Council appropriates funds to support non-profit organizations throughout the County in the form of Special Appropriation Grants. Each Council Member has their own process for distributing grant funding.

Past Grant Support

Past grant support from District 4 does not influence future grant funding, but if you have received a District 4 Special Appropriations Grant in the past, please include information about how that money was used.

Applying for Special Appropriations Grants

If you would like to apply for a Special Appropriations grant from the District 4 office, please view the County Council Grant PageDetailed instructions and the application can be found in documents 1-5 under Grant Processing Procedures.

Council Member Watson is encouraging you to apply NOW for a District 4 Special Appropriations Grant for FY 2024. The phased approach shown below will help our Finance Office from being overwhelmed before the fiscal year-end deadline and will help to get funds to you in a more timely manner. You only need to apply once, either by the November date OR the March date.  The District 4 Special Appropriations Grant applications will be accepted as follows:

Phase One applications are due by Thursday, November 30, 2023.

Phase Two applications are due by Friday, March 29, 2024.

Please visit  https://pgccouncil.us/DocumentCenter/View/10002/FY24-Prince-Georges-County-Council-Grant-Application to apply.

You may contact Ms. Bria Archie, Administrative Assistant, at (301) 952-3094 or baarchie@co.pg.md.us, with questions.  Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.

Due Date

Applications will be considered on a first come, first served basis throughout the fiscal year. Be sure to include Council Member Watson's name under "(C) Grant Application to Council Member."
