Ingrid Scott Watson (formerly Harrison) was elected in the November 2022 General Election to her first term on the Prince George's County Council and represents Councilmanic District 4. Council Member Watson's longstanding history of community service in the County spans 27 years. In November 2018, she was elected to the Prince George's County Democratic Central Committee, Legislative District 23B. In November 2019, she was elected to an At-Large seat on the Bowie City Council. In this capacity, she served as Council Liaison to the Public Safety and Diversity committees; the Bowie Racetrack Executive Board; and spearheaded development of the Youth Advisory Committee. Council Member Watson’s previous employment includes Government Affairs Manager, Children's National Hospital; Outreach and Communications Manager, Employ Prince George's; and Community Outreach Coordinator, Prince George's County Council District 4 office. Past board experience includes Liberty Sports Park; Leadership Prince George's; The Ivy Community Charities of Prince George's County, MD and Women Business Owners of Prince George's County. Council Member Watson is a Life Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and served as the 11th President of the Iota Gamma Omega Chapter and President of The Ivy Community Charities. She is a Charter Member of the Willow Oak Chapter (MD) of The Links, Incorporated. Council Member Watson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Saint Augustine's University and a Master of Arts degree in Management from the University of Phoenix. She is a graduate of Leadership Prince George's Class 30 and The Washington Business Journal's 2019 Business Class. She was the recipient of the 2018 William Jefferson Jackson Award from her beloved alma mater for her work in the community. Council Member Watson resides in the City of Bowie and is most proud of her husband Ron, her amazing children Christina and Alex, daughter-in-law Analydia and grandson Maceo Harrison.
